Optical Alchemy Announces Their Geo-Referenced MWIR

NASHUA, NH. - August 8, 2011 - Optical Alchemy, in a joint effort with their investment partner Teledyne Scientific & Imaging, LLC, recently demonstrated successful operation of their MWIR and HD/EO, geo-referenced, 6.4" stabilized turret.

The MWIR camera significantly improves functionality with an industry leading 8x continuous zoom lens allowing for easier and more accurate target detection and identification. Our HD/EO video camera provides an expansive wide field of view and provides our warfighters with an outstanding one-two punch in a single gimbal package. Warfighters can use our MWIR to find disturbed earth and IED’s, and then use the mensurated coordinates generated by our gimbals to communicate their positions to command centers.

The Optical Alchemy team has demonstrated high-accuracy geo-referencing performance and the ability to dwell on target for extended periods of time to support real-time ISR and anti-IED operations for forward deployed soldiers.

To set up a private demonstration of this new MWIR system, please call or email Mark Hutcheson at Optical Alchemy (603) 594-3073, ext 211 or mark.hutcheson@opticalchemy.com. You can also see OAI’s turrets in Booth 2639 at AUVSI from August 16-19 in Washington DC.
